How would your life be different if you truly believed you're loved just as you are?" Holley Gerth poses this compelling question at the start of her latest book. As someone who has connected with thousands of women, Holley has seen the dangers of becoming trapped by impossible standards of beauty, achievement, and even spirituality. We believe if only we were "perfect" we could beat our depression, banish anxiety, and develop the relationships we long for most. Holley shares how God wants to set the hearts of women free by revealing the lies we believe and the scandalous grace and acceptance offered to us instead. When we know we're truly loved, the response is to love in return--and that changes everything.
Bestselling author and every woman's best friend, Holley Gerth helps women lay down their unrealistic expectations so they can embrace who God created them to be, pursue his purpose for their lives, and offer the love they've been freely given.

My Thoughts:
One year ago saw me reading a different Holley Gerth book. That was when I fell in love with her writing. Last fall, I read her latest devotional and fell in love with her writing. Now I'm reading Holley's newest book and it has cemented my undying love for her.

"YLNMW" reminded me much of this title and my thoughts I had as I started to read. I don't see myself as a perfectionist. I do my best not to care what others will think of me just as I do my best not to judge others. I was excited for a new Holley Gerth, but I didn't think any of it would apply to me personally.

When will I learn?? I may not be a perfectionist, but I still pile guilt on myself for every little fault, especially in parenting. (PSA: Moms we are WAY too hard on ourselves!) Holley takes us by the hand, leads us to our favorite cozy coffee shop, and then over a steaming cup of joe walks us through all the lies we believe about God, perfectionism, striving, being someone we aren't....Every chapter brought a new truth that I had to stop and ponder. So don't expect this to be a quick read :)

God will finish the work He wants done in your life. That's not your burden to bear. Your real job is to live loved. http://HolleyGerth.com

Holley writes "YLNMW" a little like a workbook. She asks questions and gives us space to pause and answer. One chapter, "Daring to be Who You Already Are", walks the reader through strengths, skills, five love languages, discusses MBTI and the Strongest Life. I found the book to be very interactive which works so well for Holley. She really does feel like a good, caring friend and these interactive chapters really enforced that.

Again, Holley knocks it out of the park. The girl knows what she is doing. I also love how each of her books are related, almost like a non-fiction series of who God truly is, erasing the lies we believe about Him and ourselves, and flat out grace. Her blog is adorable, her designs are adorable, she is adorable....yes. Go start reading some Holley Gerth. You will walk away refreshed, renewed, and ready to tackle the lies.  5 stars and I would recommend it to....YOU.
