OUaRaT Day 2 Update

OnceUponAReadaThon Once Upon a Readathon: Mini Challenge

Greetings Fellow Readathoners! Accomplishing your goals?? I was doing great and ahead of schedule, but then I spent most of my evening yesterday with the Baby and tooling around online. Oops!

As it stands:
Finished Blood Calling
I am 21% through The Henchmen's Book Club
I visited a lot of blogs yesterday but didn't follow any!
I have a review written up, but not polished. I am hoping to post it tonight or tomorrow morning.

How are your goals proceeding?? Leave your link the comments below!!

Here is the mini-challenge from Better Read then Dead:

"You're in a bookstore and you've just purchased 5 books you've been dying to read, when the apocalypse hits. You've got one chance at survival, what 2 books do you take and what 3 other items do you take?"
WOW. This is always a tough question for me. I am going to exclude the obvious such as: MY CHILD or MY HUSBAND. That's a given. I will talk about inanimate objects only. The first two books I thought of were
1. The Bible
2. Pride and Prejudice
At first I was thinking "Fiction! Duh!" I thought about adding some Terry Brooks, but thought hey! at the end of the world, I probs won't have time for epic fantasy. I thought about what I would enjoy and almost added this:
Sideways Stories from Wayside School (Wayside School #1)
Because, let's face it. At the end of the world, you will be needing some good laughs.

Items I would take (again, not mentioning the obvious food!):
1. Gun
2. Phone and phone charger
3. somebody else's nice car, Humvee, Jeep, Range Rover :)

No, I do not support car theft, but it is the apocalypse people!

Here is the mini challenge from IB Book Blogging:
"Make your dream guy using characteristics, personalities, looks, and anything else you can think of from your favorite book boyfriends."
Again, tough for me. I just have such a hard time having 'book boyfriends'! Guess I been married too long a time :) What I DO know is I would take Harry's courage, Ron's best friend-edness, Edward's undying love, Jacob's body (oops), The Doctor's sense of adventure, Mr Darcy's manners, and Michael Hosea's love for God.

  1. Love your answer! :) That sounds like the perfect guy. It is easier for me to choose my dream guy since I'm single and not married. ;) Hehe. The possibilities are endless!
